There
is a $500.00 Reward being offered for information leading
to the arrest and conviction of these juveniles who were
seen defacing our common area with spray paint. The Cotati
Police have not released the identities of these misguided
children and have yet to prosecute this case. We citizens
must do the job on behalf of the membership. These kids
were set free and the graffiti has not been cleaned up.
The police did not insist that these children apologize
to the neighbors or the association for their misbehavior.
That's California liberalism for ya. Apologizing may have
traumatized these poor children. Whatever !
As
members of the association, we must try to make our neighborhood
safe from such crimes and protect our resale values. Graffitti
hurts homeowners and property values. If our management
company would stand up and condemn such activity, rather
than turn the other cheek, we would all be better off. How
much could your property be worth if our neighborhood was
not on a collision path to resembling East Oakland?
Cotati
Police Officer Jason Yarnell and Police Cheif Robert Stewart
responded to this call for help in record time. George
Barich was thanked by the Chief for his assistance and was
commended for the use of video security to take a bite out
of this crime. This type of video proves to be invaluable
in cases such as these.
